Award-winning entrepreneur, consultant, researcher, farmer and accredited project manager, Naomi specialises in innovation, social enterprise, health/mental health care and development. With over 16 years’ experience working within various roles in innovation and healthcare including manager, clinician and researcher, Naomi has developed a wide set of transferable skills and relishes spending time learning and supporting people make a positive impact with their business and products at all levels.

Naomi has founded a number of project and organisations spanning health, agriculture and development and led them at executive level. She was profiled in 2020 by the Academic Health Science Network as a role model Innovator in the UK and a regional finalist for the Great British entrepreneur awards. She is part of the Business Clouds group of women trailblazers in technology innovation in the UK. Currently in Tanzania, Naomi manages Livy Africa, an Ethical Social Business adding Value to the Cocoa Value Chain in the Southern Highlands. Livy Africa is the first Tanzanian company to pass International Standards checks for Premium Dark Chocolate.

Naomi sits on the International Advisory board of the NIHR Global Health Research Unit on the prevention and management of neonatal deaths in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia, is a fellow and previous trustee of the School for Social Entrepreneurs and is a Resident Fellow in the application of Industry 4.0 and Inclusive Design at Liverpool John Moores University Fab Lab.

Naomi’s experience of business development and social enterprise has been invaluable in supporting is to set up Farijika, our community cafe in Mbeya, Tanzania. She is empowering and encouraging us to take ownership and learn how to run a community business.
