Emily Wilder
BA, MSc
Executive Director
Emily has worked in the not-for-profit and environmental sustainable development sector, both overseas and in the UK, for 30 years, including over a decade at senior management/director level. She brings significant strategic, organisational development and partnership management experience. Over the past 14 years, leading The Mango Tree’s collective of educational partners and projects, she has raised over £10million to fund programmes in East Africa that have resulted in excellent outcomes for children, young people and their families – particularly in terms of access to education, land rights, lake ecologies and local food production technologies. Emily brings an abundance of fundraising, grant-making and partnership building knowledge and skills.
As the Founder & Executive Director of The Wilder Network CIC, she has more recently broadened her leadership across a broader spectrum of sustainable development areas, bringing substantial assets from the international and UK not-for-profit sector to positively encourage social and environmental change in ways that support social equity. Having recently completed a Masters in Science in Sustainable Development at Sussex University she has now also deepened her knowledge and contextualized her experience in relation to climate change.

Emily steered The Mango Tree’s localisation and UK charity merger over the past two years with care, dedication, skill and diplomacy. It simply wouldn’t have gone as smoothly without her insight, experience and executive oversight!
