With over 30 years experience working for a wide range of Civil Society Organisations, at many different levels, Dan brings extensive, practical and participatory training and development experience to our team. Particularly in designing and delivering: Program Reviews and Evaluations; Training for Institutional Capacity strengthening; Results Based Monitoring and Evaluation; Strategic Planning and Management; Rights Based approaches, and Transformational Leadership. These having been implemented in various eastern, central, Horn of Africa, western, and southern African countries.
Underpinning Dan’s approach is unwavering commitment to localisation, and the belief that grass-roots innovation and community-based approaches remain the best way to achieve holistic, equitable and sustainable development. His contributions towards civil society organisations, and the application of strategies and methodologies, have all stemmed from the belief that local people have the solutions they need to transform their own communities. He is a wealth of experience facilitating participatory learning processes, using multi-dialogue models and pioneering the framework for Community Partnerships in Health System Strengthening (CPHSS).
Dan is a founder member and a guest lecturer at the Institute of Health Care Management in Nairobi Kenya, and consults regularly for the Partnership for child development (PCD), Africalead, ASARECA, PolicyLINK as well as other Organizations in Africa and beyond.

Dan is an exciting person to work with, particularly because he has humility, and is so experienced, competent and professional. He is such a great communicator, so cheerful and positive, it’s a pleasure to work with him on projects.
